I’m doing some more site housekeeping! If you’re into RSS, especially creating keyword- or location-based feeds, check out my site RSS Gizmos. I fixed some problems with my URL fetches and now the site is going great.
RSS Gizmos is a collection of ten tools for finding, examining, and creating RSS feeds. If you’ve been following ResearchBuzz for a (very) long time you may remember Kebberfegg, the Keyword Based RSS Feed Generator, which first launched in 2004 as a Perl program! Kebberfegg creates keyword-based RSS feeds for eleven different sources, including Bing, Google News, Reddit, and Internet Archive.
Other tools on the site include WikiRSS (find Wikipedia articles with associated RSS feeds), WordPress Preview (compare RSS feeds for a tag vs keyword search), Feed Freshness Checker (Analyze up to 20 feeds at a time for post age and publication frequency), and OPML Peeler (extract RSS feeds from an OPML and save them to CSV.)
As always, everything is free to use and free of ads. Enjoy!
